Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia provoke a wide range of emotional responses in people and can be very difficult to understand. Interacting with those suffering from these symptoms can be tough and stressful. Jean however, takes this in her stride and in her 30-minute exercise sessions, always makes the effort to get the most out of our residents and make them smile

Other Services

Nursing Homes
We wholeheartedly believe that everybody matters, regardless of his or her age or physical ability and our key mission, above all, is to make a real difference to our clients’ lives through the work that we do with them.

Over the last 3 years, due to a genuine personal interest, we have extended our services to the Care Sector, working with local Nursing and Residential Homes to deliver physical activity programmes to persons living with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.

Many people with Alzheimer’s or Dementia have difficulty moving about simply because they have little opportunity for physical activity. An exercise programme can tone muscles, improve circulation, limber up the body and relieve tension. It also stimulates the mind, maintaining and enhancing the memory and cognitive abilities.

Our group physical activity programmes are tailored specifically to meet the needs and abilities of our clients, are stage appropriate and are aimed at producing the maximum mental stimulation necessary for persons living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia as they experience mental decline.

We thoroughly enjoy our work in this field and, as the enclosed testimonials support, we are achieving great results. We are therefore keen to offer our services to the wider community and are contacting you as our research shows that you are a specialist Alzheimer’s and Dementia care provider.

Obesity & Nutrition
At the moment we as a Country are now placed 3rd in the world for obesity, Mexico being 2nd and USA first. If we compare the size of America to the UK these are shocking statistics.

So what actually is Obesity?

It is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health problems.

Obesity increases the likelihood of various diseases:
  • heart disease
  • type 2 diabetes
  • breathing difficulties during sleep
  • certain types of cancer
  • Osteoarthritis
Obesity is most commonly caused by a combination of excessive dietary calories, lack of physical activity, and genetic susceptibility, although a few cases are caused primarily by genes, endocrine disorders, medications or psychiatric illness.

Over the years I have worked with hundreds of people with weight issues, health problems and helping to build up low self esteem. I have worked closely with children and adults with the council who are categorized as obese. I have helped many people decrease there medication for High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol and depression purely by increasing their fitness and well being.

Exercise and healthy eating are the two combinations that lead to weight decrease it’s that simple.
